I had a free afternoon late last week, so I stopped by the AACA Museum again. I’ve talked about the museum on here before, so I’ll just leave you with pictures.
Italian cars are being featured through May 2017 (I think), and are mixed in with the museum’s regular collection.

They really went with the standard de-80s-ify approach on this one didn’t they? More curves! Less flippy lights! Curvey spokes!
I think it looks disproportionate from every angle.

The wheels and the rear aren’t too bad, however, I never liked the front on the F512M. It reminds me too much of the VW City Golf they sold in Canada (and possibly other places), at least in principle.
The Testarossa, and even the 512 TR, were much better looking vehicles.

Yay! Tiny Italians! Some of my favorite cars there....FIAT Topolino, Autobianchi Bianchina....FIAT 850 Spider...
What’s that very fetching little yellow coupe on the right of the Autobianchi Bianchina? :O

I had to look up the City Golf, god that’s disgusting. What did they do, graft 5th gen lights onto a 4th? Why!?

Didn’t Wheeler Dealers visit this museum to look at an Alfa or something? I think it may have been that green one, but I don’t fully remember.

I believe that’s a
‘54 Fiat Bertone 1100
.

I’m not sure, but unless it was super-recently, I doubt it. The green X1/9 is on loan from a guy in Ohio, and was only brought here to Hershey sometime this past November.

The F512M was a styling disaster up front.

The styling was “inspired” by the MkV Golf and MkIV Facelift Polo, supposedly. The reason behind it was to offer a model that was priced lower than the new at the time MkV Golf. I believe it competed with the Yaris and Fit, at least price wise.
There was also the City Jetta, which appeared to have a B5.5 Passat grille haphazardly stuck on...

Ah, I’ll have to look into it. It was definitely in the last 1 or maybe 2 years.

Yet it still has a smile.

What rubbish. Wonder how much it tarnished their reputation.

Amazing. The color on that Montreal is incredible! And a DeTomaso Longchamp! A Tucker! So much good stuff.

I’ve never heard of it and I am a huge FIAT fan! Gorgeous little car! :)

I’ll be in Hershey the next 3 days I’ll have to see if I can make time for the museum.

You really should!

That Montreal was stunning in person!
I’ve written about the Tuckers at the museum before:

Considering this is VW we’re talking about...in the grand scheme of things, probably not that much...
